Ether is an all-penetrating medium supposed in the outdated theories of ether, whose vibrations manifest themselves as electromagnetic waves. If you try to visualize the picture described above, Ether top can be a good illustration. Waves in some places oscillate at a constant frequency, in other places interrupt and become silent under the influence of random interference. Simple patterns, such as the Stockinette and Garter stitches get wavy due to abundant short rows, and the absence of the latter draws straight lines.
